While some have called this a matter of opinion, and wanting to not fully spoil all of the game's story, the game studio themselves have vowed to fix their warnings and make it more in-depth for future players to have a better understanding of the game. The game itself has recently come under fire for reportedly not having a detailed enough content warning, as some of the themes that come into play during the course of gameplay were considered more extreme than the initial warning suggested. They already hated him for being related to the Kylo fanbase which was one of their worst enemies for a while, and then they claimed he was a violent racist due to his role in Spike Lee's film Blackkklansman. Their hate for this character is tied to in-game story reasons, but because of what happens in the game, Eric's voice actor has been reportedly receiving harassment online for his voice acting work as the character. It looks like harassing people for video game portrayals isn't limited to the so-called Call of Duty crowd after some fans of the popular LGBTQ+ game Boyfriend Dungeon have voiced their displeasure with a certain character in the game, named Eric.
